Color My World

Color connects children to beauty, emotion and creativity and transforms their perspectives on the world. Three authors, whom are also illustrators, explore the power of color in their picture-books. Maya Christina Gonzalez celebrates the colors of the desert in "My Colors, My World," while Peter Reynolds examines the many colors of the sky in "Sky Color" and Jillian Tamaki plays with the colors in a young child's life in "They Say Blue."

Maya Christina Gonzalez

Maya Christina Gonzalez is a fine artist, educator and illustrator of over 20 picture books, several of which she also wrote. She has written many award-winning books, including "My Colors, My World" for which she was awarded the Pura Belpre Award....

Peter H. Reynolds

Peter H. Reynolds is a New York Times best-selling author and illustrator of many books for children, including "The Dot," "Ish" and "Sky Color." He helped with books such as the Judy Moody series, written by Meghan McDonald, and Allison McGhee's "Someday," selling more than two million books in over 25 languages around the globe....

Jillian Tamaki

Jillian Tamaki is an illustrator and artist best known for her graphic novels "Skim," which was named a New York Times Best Illustrated and "This One Summer," both co-created with Mariko Tamaki. "This One Summer" was awarded a Caldecott Honor, Printz Honor and Eisner Award....
