The four large moons of Jupiter--Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto--exhibit some of the most interesting phenomena in the solar system. The icy moons Europa, Ganymede and Callisto probably have subsurface oceans of water, perhaps habitable, especially in Europa. Io may have a subsurface magma ocean feeding its hundreds of active volcanoes. Future missions are in development to explore Europa (NASA’s Europa Clipper mission) and Ganymede (the European JUICE mission) and a mission concept to Io will also be discussed. Be the first to hear about these exciting worlds and future missions from Alfred McEwen, Professor, UA Lunar & Planetary Laboratory.
