María V. Acevedo-Aquino is an alumna from the University of Arizona, and currently an educator at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she is passionate about global children’s literature, intercultural understandings of young children, and story, and the importance of play and inquiry in early childhood education.
