Peter W. Likins


Peter Likins is President Emeritus of the University of Arizona and formerly president of Lehigh University, provost and earlier dean of engineering at Columbia University and UCLA engineering professor, following his education at Stanford and MIT. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Although Likins has authored or co-authored more than fifty technical publications, three textbooks and a memoir chronicling the adventures of his interracial family with six adopted kids ("A New American Family: A Love Story"), his first foray into fiction is "Coyote Speaks: Cross Country Run." He lives with Patricia, his best friend and wife of sixty-one years, in Tucson, Arizona.
