Sandra Rose Simmons

I discovered a passion for creative writing in high school. My career path led me to other pursuits including teaching, social work and creation and development of programs and services for private, nonprofit and governmental organizations.

My personal and professional life inspired me with ideas for many stories about people and their struggles to not only survive but thrive and find meaning in life. My stories also reflect my interests in nature, travel, hiking, dancing and spirituality.

Family and friendships have played a major role in my life and helped me maintain balance and perspective as I navigated the difficulties of being a working single mother and caregiver to my elderly parents and life partner.
