Linda Smock (alias) Linda Ann Casey Smock is a retired elementary teacher of 40 years. She was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, graduated from Seton Hall University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Ed and minor in Psychology. She taught in New Jersey for 10 years, married and had three boys. Then Linda moved to Arizona in 1983 with her boys and taught in Mesa for the next 30 years grades 2 through 8. She received her Master's Degree in Adult Education in 1992 and then in 1995 was trained in Orton Gillingham which is a reading structured program for Dyslexia children. After retiring from Mesa she continues to work with struggling readers.
After retiring she had the idea about writing. She began writing about little chihauhau's which are her boyfriend's dogs and that is how the books got started four years ago in 2012. She took the personalities of these little dogs and expanded upon them to make them into humorous cartoon characters. Ringo is the Ringleader as they say and he has the most adventures. Then Norbie comes into the picture about 6 months later and he is a rat terrier. He then began to have adventures with Ringo. Now there are 10 books in the series. The other dogs are Cookie the oldest Chiweeny and Cupcake a Chihauhau and then there is Tahoe a Husky and also Benji a Schnoodle. One of the books is about Cocoa Bean and her fashions. She is a neighbor's Yorkie and is the cutest thing. The book "Puppy Love" is when Ringo and Norbie fall in love with Cocoa Bean and the twist on the ending is unexpected.
