Cynthia Alaniz

Cynthia Alaniz is an elementary school librarian in Coppell, Texas. She has over 25 years experience as an elementary educator, and has a strong and undying passion for reading, books, and children's literature. She was her district's Elementary Teacher of the Year, and a recipient of the Bonnie Campbell Hill National Literacy Leader Award. She is an active presenter and member of the Children's Literature Assembly, the National Council of the Teachers of English, the Texas Library Association, and the American Library Association. Cynthia is currently serving on the Notable Children's Books in the Language Arts Award Committee.
