Richard Sparacino

Dr. Richard Sparacino was born and raised in New York City, where he graduated with a degree in psychology. He has spent the last thirty five years in Tucson Arizona, raising four children with his wife Mari, and maintaining a spinal health care clinic. It is estimated that over the years, Dr. Sparacino has made over 200,0000 adjustments. Because Dr. Sparacino is a native New Yorker, with friends and family still there, the events of 9-11 were particularly painful, and like many, he was forced to contemplate the nature of evil. How is it possible people can do such terrible things to each other? Is humanity doomed to constant wars, hatred and atrocities? Are we pre-wired for violence, and if so, is it genetics, upbringing, or something completely different and much more sinister? These were the questions circling his mind that eventually spawned the idea for a fiction novel. What if there was something out there influencing human behavior in such a way that we weren't even aware of? And what if this entity fed off the negative energy produced by its influence? The book, “Riders on the Storm,” is a classic novel exploring good vs. evil, but with an unexpected twist. Here is a summary of the story: Humanity is at a crossroads. Violence and wars have escalated. Fear, anger and hatred have reached epic levels, thanks in part to an invisible diabolical force that feeds off the negative thoughts and emotions of the human mind. This evil entity, named Drakin, has been on the planet for centuries, and has mastered the ability to enter the human mind, manipulate behavior and steer the course of history. By generating negative energy on a global scale, this entity's objective is simple; the complete domination of the Human Race. As a result of Drakin's influence, and the subsequent escalation of negative energy in the atmosphere, an unnatural storm is created for which NASA scientists have no explanation. And this storm is concentrated over the island of Manhattan. When homicide Detective Anthony Santini begins having recurrent nightmares of a plot to destroy New York City, he consults psychiatrist Kelly Jordan in an attempt to combat his resulting insomnia. As he attempts to maintain his sanity and uncover who is behind the plot, he discovers that it is a nemesis the likes of which no one has ever confronted. Detective Santini has spent a lifetime tracking down some of the worst criminals to scour the face of the earth, but nothing could have prepared him for the hunt that he was now embarked on. Armed with only the clues from his precognitive dreams, Detective Santini and his partner John Salvo, chase this evil force from the streets of New York, to the Oval Office of the White House. As Santini battles his own demons and finally confronts Drakin, he discovers that there is only one way for humanity to save itself. An action packed adventure that explores the power of thought and challenges our notions of God and the Devil.
