Mary Fahrenbruck

Mary is a former elementary school teacher and avid reader of children's literature. She enjoys thinking about story plots and using math to better understand the events as they unfold. She lives in Las Cruces, NM.

Scheduled events:
Mathematical Perspectives of Children's Books
Instead of asking how stories can help readers learn math, this sessions explores how math can help readers better understand stories. Experience this shift in thinking through simulations that uncover mathematical inquiries embedded (often unintentionally) in picture books and learn ways to help childrens use math to better comprehend literature.
