Jane Bean-Folkes


Jane Bean-Folkes is an assistant professor in the Department of Education, Marist College. She has taught literacy classes and workshops on multicultural books and is a reviewer and consultant on elementary literacy.


Scheduled events:
Exploring Diverse Books for Home and School: Chicano Books for Kids
Classrooms and families of today are more diverse than ever before and so we need to be familiar with new books to recommend to readers. This session will focus on recommended Chicano books for children and what makes diverse books valuable.
