Cynthia Harmony (she/her/hers)


Cynthia Harmony is a bilingual author and educational psychologist from Mexico City. She is the author of "Our World: Mexico" and "Mi Ciudad Sings." Her latest book, "A Flicker of Hope," has received critical acclaim. She also translates award-winning children's books and co-founded Latinxs in Kid Lit, an organization supporting underrepresented voices in literature.

Children search for belonging through family and cultural connections that help them explore who they are and who they might become. These authors have created picturebooks about the lives of Latinx and Black children who struggle with their place in the world, finding strength in families and culture.
