Tucson Festival of Books

Christina Estes

Christina Estes is an Emmy award-winning reporter who draws on two decades of experience for her mysteries.

Christina's career as a Phoenix reporter inspired her debut novel, "Off the Air," in which a local TV reporter investigates the murder of a controversial talk show host. It also includes a reference to the time Christina lost an Emmy to a story about bubble wrap!

"Off the Air" received the Tony Hillerman Prize for Best First Mystery Set in the Southwest. The sequel, "The Story That Wouldn't Die," will be published August 19, 2025.
