Barbara Nickless (she/her)


Barbara Nickless is the Wall Street Journal and No. 1 Amazon Charts bestselling author of seven award-winning novels. Her Sydney Parnell series has been optioned for television. Barbara lives at the base of a 14,000-foot mountain where she loves to hike, snowshoe, and venture through tunnels deep underground. Recent travels—while conducting research for a novel—involved taking cover from rocket fire and being grilled at military checkpoints. Her new book is "The Drowning Game."

Workshop: Crafting the Murder Book
Case files, called the “murder books,” are used by detectives to gather information on investigation. We’ll develop our own murder book for writing killer fiction. Our case file will include tools for developing the structure, creating characters, planting clues, red herrings, and more.
