Catalina P Claussen

Patrick Gendron

Catalina Claussen is a big believer in the idea that there's no greater feeling than getting lost in a book, in an experience. Claussen loves to hike, hunt, dance, fish, garden, ski, Scuba dive, write, sing, swim, practice yoga, speak French, travel, read and do just about anything that gets her out into the world. Her happiest moments are spent feeling connected, present, both as a participant and a witness to the human experience. She writes to indulge her curiosity and spark others. She writes short stories, YA novels, poetry and memoirs so far. And as one of her favorite local authors, Sharman Apt Russell, says, "There's no turning back now."

"Diamonds at Dusk" is a finalist in the 2016 New Mexico/Arizona Book Awards and the 2018 Wishing Shelf Book Awards in the United Kingdom. This debut novel is also the solo recipient of the 2018 New Apple Book Awards for Excellence in Independent Publishing in the category of YA romance.

"Diamonds at Dawn" is the sequel to "Diamonds at Dusk" and was selected as a finalist in the YA category for the 2018 Wishing Shelf Book Awards in the UK.
