Anson K. Lihosit

Anson Lihosit grew up in Madera, Calif., which is located in the agriculturally rich Central Valley. One of his first jobs was picking figs. He earned a bachelor's degree in urban planning at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and worked as an urban planner before volunteering for the Peace Corps. Assigned to a small village situated only ninety-five miles from the Colombian border near an area known as the Darien Gap, he taught English from 2015 to 2017. He is currently a master's candidate in urban planning at the University of Arizona. His book is "Peace Corps Epiphanies: Panama."
