Matthew Burgess

Matthew Burgess is an assistant professor at Brooklyn College. He is the author of two books for children, "Enormous Smallness: A Story of E. E. Cummings" and "The Unbudgeable Curmudgeon." Several more titles are forthcoming, including "Drawing on Walls: A Story of Keith Haring," "Make Meatballs Sing: The Life and Art of Corita Kent" and "The Bear and The Moon." Burgess has taught creative writing in New York City public schools for over 15 years, and he recently edited a new collection titled "Spellbound: The Art of Teaching Poetry."
