Kay Sather has been a writer, graphic designer and illustrator in Tucson for 35 years. She illustrated “Molly’s Desert Journal,” by Molly McKasson, for five years and many children’s books, including "Soft Child," for which she was named Illustrator of the Year in 1993 by the Arizona Library Association. Her most enduring work includes the Native Seeds Search logo. But her best art is writing. "Neon Words" with Marge Pellegrino was her first book and "Mud," a memoir about the mud building process and “lifestyle voting,” is finding a publisher.
