Since retiring in Arizona after sixty years in the Chicago area, Helmut Seifert went back to his roots as a writer, publishing short stories as well as writing his first novel, "Nobody's Coming." Before retirement, he had a fulfilling career in banking, finance and coaching varsity basketball in various high schools across the country. Additionally, he served on the boards of the local hospital, a college prep high school and a non-profit housing corporation, gaining insight into what's happening in our communities, big and small. Many of his meaningful and challenging experiences alike can be found in his writing, highlighting both the real and surreal ideas we have all come to know or question. "Black and White World" was previously published in the University of Arizona College of Medicine Harmony Anthology, 2015.
