Jeff Hartman

Jeff Hartman has had many jobs and a couple careers. He’s worked as a writer, mediator, organizational development consultant and high school teacher/administrator. He grew up in Chicago, and has lived in Oregon, Washington, Minnesota and Arizona. He currently devotes most of his time to writing, traveling and hanging with family and friends.

He is the author of three novels: "How To Win The Nobel Peace Prize" (2024), "The End Of The War" (2022) and "Atkinson Exit" (2000). He also wrote an educational children’s book for Columbia University’s Biosphere 2 Center titled: "The Red Coral House" (2002).

His latest book, "How To Win The Nobel Peace Prize," is a short, heartfelt story about a grandfather and his autistic granddaughter who must find a way to relate to each other when they are suddenly thrown together over the course of a summer.

"The End Of The War" is a family drama and a reflection on the turbulent Sixties. It's also an exploration of the effects the Vietnam War continues to have on American society.

"Atkinson Exit" is a slice-of-life book inspired by John Steinbeck's "Cannery Row and Sweet Thursday." It's a story about dory fishing and softball and small towns and falling in love on the Oregon Coast.

"How To Win The Nobel Peace Prize" and "The End Of The War" are both currently available on Amazon through KDP Publishing. "Atkinson Exit" is available by contacting the author.  "The Red Coral House" is out of print.
