Juanita R. Havill


Curiosity and love of words have motivated Juanita Havill to write picturebooks, novels for young readers, and poetry. Her “Jamaica” picture book series has remained popular and "Grow: A Novel in Verse" won several awards. Juanita co-created the curriculum for Writing for Children at Phoenix College and taught writing there and at Pima College. Wherever she has lived, she has relied on fellow writers to offer critiques, support, guidance, friendship, and shared journeys in creating.
