Patrick Andrus (he/him/his)

Patrick Andrus has been an elementary educator for 32 years. Patrick has taught third, fourth, and fifth grade in Eden Prairie, MN. His focus and passion in the classroom are to bring the love and joy of reading and books to all of his students. Patrick serves on the Notable Children's Book for the Language Arts committee and also served on the NCTE Charlotte Huck Committee.

Notable Books for K-8 Readers
This session will highlight award-winning books of fiction, nonfiction and poetry for children in grades K-8. The books will be presented by the NCBLA committee who selected these books due to their appealing format, enduring quality, focus on language and invitation for child response. The committee will share the books and suggest instructional strategies. Books will be available for browsing and a book list provided. The books will be given away at the end of the session to attendees.
