Patrick Andrus is a fourth-grade teacher in the Eden Prairie School District in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, who has served on children's literature award committees. He enjoys running a book club for his students and sharing new titles with readers.

Award-Winning Books for K-8 Readers
This session will highlight award-winning books of fiction, nonfiction and poetry for children in grades K-8. The books will be presented by the NCBLA committee who selected these books due to their appealing format, enduring quality, focus on language and invitation for child response. The committee will share about the books and instructional strategies. The 2025 award list of books will be announced.
