Patrick Andrus is an elementary teacher of grades 3-5.  He has been a member of the National Council of Teachers of English Notables committee for four years and served as chairperson for one year.  He is an avid reader and book blogger focusing on reading, books, and spreading joy with his students.

Award-Winning Books for K-8 Readers
This session highlights award-winning books of fiction, nonfiction and poetry for K-8 children. The books were selected due to their appealing format, enduring quality, focus on language and invitation for response. The NCBLA committee will share the books and suggest instructional strategies.
