Ashley E Sweeney (she/her)

Tucson author Ashley E. Sweeney penned her third novel, "Hardland," during COVID, with only her imagination and the vast Sonoran Desert landscape for company. Winner of the Independent Press Award for Western Fiction, "Hardland" features Ruby Fortune, a tough, resilient cowgirl who battles addiction and abuse in 1899 Arizona Territory. Sweeney is pleased to be a part of TFoB's Indie Author Experience again to bring "Hardland" to SW readers. A native New Yorker and longtime resident of the Pacific Northwest, Sweeney is a graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, and a member of Western Writers of America, Women Writing the West, Pacific Northwest Writers Association, Arizona Authors Association, Historical Novel Society, and Women Fiction Writers Association. She is at work on her fourth novel based on her Irish great-grandmother who lived in the American West in the 1880s and 1890s. You can reach her at https://ashleysweeneyauthor.com
