Terrilyn M. Trejo is a retired special education teacher and the author of I Love America Because… and The Traveling Tales of Nacho & Lola, picture book series, inspired by her real-life travels with her husband, Vidal, and their chihuahuas.. Her books celebrate Arizona’s culture, landmarks, and traditions through heartwarming stories that encourage families to explore, learn and love their surroundings. Trejo lives in Casa Grande, Arizona, where she continues to write, travel and share her adventures with readers of all ages.
