Tucson Festival of Books

Yasmeen Salama

Josh Del

Yasmeen Salama is an action/adventure mystery author, cinematic music composer and marketing/communications expert from Austin, TX. She graduated from Cal State Fullerton with honors, six completed books, an album on Spotify and a plane ticket to Austin where she built a marketing strategy business and a music career. Her quirky, humorous writing style and stories are inspired by books that challenged the rules of writing, such as "The Princess Bride," and "A Series of Unfortunate Events," and led to her first published novel, "The Crimson Run," in 2024. In the rare times she's not neck deep in her three businesses, she can be found lost in the latest Brandon Sanderson adventure, in Hyrule saving Princess Zelda, traveling the world, convincing herself NOT to add the keyblade to her sword collection and hanging out with friends and family.
