While growing up in Nebraska, Kirk initially had much more interest in art and illustration than the written word. But he would later discover the enjoyment of reading while in high school. Gifted with a vivid imagination he soon began to experiment with writing and was encouraged by his English teacher to explore short fiction. This continued during his time in the Navy, often writing short stories for his fellow sailors. He had tried writing a novel several times but it always ended in incomplete manuscripts. Finally, in 2015, he finished crafting his first novel, "The Adventures of Argon Bosch," a character he created for a series of short videos. He self published the book through Amazon and it was well received by those that read it. Spurred by this acceptance and the joy of sharing his imagination with others he went on to complete a trilogy of the character and then he returned to his first love, short stories. He has just published his third such collection, "Omnium Gatherum."
