Dr. Wendy Johnson is an activist, clinician and writer whose career included scaling up HIV treatment in Mozambique, overseeing an urban health department, and directing Santa Fe's main community clinic. She still practices family and addiction medicine in northern New Mexico. Johnson grew up along the shores of Lake Erie, but currently resides outside of Santa Fe in a community that includes two dogs, many human neighbors, a few bears, and countless coyotes and cottonwoods. "Kinship Medicine" is her first book.
