A senior editor at Sports Illustrated from 1994-2019, Scott Price has written five books, including, most recently, "The American Game: History and Hope in the Country of Lacrosse," a wide-ranging examination of the continent's oldest and most representative sport. Of Price’s work, The New York Times described him as a seasoned reporter, a master of the new journalism developed by Hunter Thompson, Gay Talese and Price’s personal paragon, Pete Hamill. Whenever he writes about sports or about the craft of writing, he hits it over the fence.
