Raised in Tucson, Daniel Eduardo Martinez, has worked in kitchens, typically on the savory side, while keeping his writing on the back burner. Around 2021, he finally sifted through the old manuscripts and set to work on those pieces. Though it was slow-going at first, with time came increasing momentum. The result was "Bubbidy," a novel in brief that combines fiction with autobiography as the protagonist travels a mysterious land, existing transitionally, somewhere between death and birth. "Bubbidy" will be featured by the author at the festival.
