
Erica Watson lives and writes on the boundary of Denali National Park, Alaska. "Ghosts of Distant Trees," her first book, examines climate change, belonging and the self through a series of essays centered on Denali National Park. Erica grew up in the Southwest, and is an alumnus of the University of Arizona. She earned her MFA in creative nonfiction from the University of Alaska Anchorage, and has received support from Fishtrap, the National Park Service, Storyknife, the Arctic Circle and the Alaska Literary Award.
