Lisa Graves is one of the nation’s foremost experts on the right-wing influence on the U.S. Supreme Court and other levels of power. She leads True North Research and co-hosts Legal AF. She has served as a senior advisor in all three branches of the federal government, including as chief counsel for nominations for the Senate Judiciary Committee for U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy. She resides in Superior, Wisconsin. Her book, "Without Precedent," came out in last year.

Awards: Izzy (I.F. Stone) Award for outstanding achievement in independent media; Sidney Award for investigative journalism from the Sidney Hillman Foundation; and, among other awards, The annual Professional Freedom and Responsibility Award from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, Culture and Critical Studies Division, whose past recipients include Izzy Stone, Bill Moyers, and Molly Ivins.
