Tom Myers


Tom Myers has worked at Grand Canyon as a physician since 1990 and serves as local medical advisor for Grand Canyon National Park. A dedicated explorer of the Canyon backcountry, he also works as a hiking and river guide within the Canyon. He has authored or co-authored five Canyon-related books, including National Outdoor Book Award winner "Over the Edge: Death in Grand Canyon." Referred to as "Mr. Grand Canyon" by best selling author, Kevin Fedarko, Myers's newest book, "The Grandest Trek," chronicles the history of hiking the length of the Grand Canyon.
