Nancy Werking Poling writes from her North Carolina mountain home. Her most recent book is "Leander’s Lies," a historical novel set in the late 19th-century South. She’s also the author of "While Earth Still Speaks," an environmental novel, and "Paradise Affirmed: stories of scandal and virtue at Happy Corner Church." Her short stories and creative nonfiction have appeared in numerous literary journals.
