Brittany Cicchese (she/her/hers)


Brittany Cicchese is an artist and writer with years of experience working in public libraries. She illustrated “The Kitten Story: A Mostly True Tale” by Emily Jenkins and “No More Señora Mimí” by Meg Medina. "Tiny Worlds," her debut book, as both an author and illustrator, celebrates the wonder of tiny, secret worlds and the magic of imagination. She lives in Denver with her family, where she is exploring the Rocky Mountains and discovering new picture books.

Illustrator Studio: Paintings to Pixels
In this illustrator studio, Brittany Cicchese will demonstrate blending watercolor textures with digital drawings. Attendees will create their own watercolor textures using a variety of techniques. Brittany is the author/illustrator of "Tiny Worlds" and the illustrator of "No More Señora Mimí."

True to Self: Fit In or Stand Out?
Finding the courage to be true to yourself at the risk of standing out instead of fitting in to escape notice is an important issue for young children. Memorable characters such as Pout-Pout Fish and Itty Bitty Betty Blob join a friendly whale named Moby and a child who finds grandness in small things.
