Tucson Festival of Books

Bob Streit

I play Original Americana inspired by the people I meet, by the books I read and by life here in State 48. My sets are a mix of love songs (She's Like the Wind, 2nd Chance, We Can Be...), Arizona anthems (I Came for the Girl, Pack the Van, Must Be Phoenix Again...) and roots rock (3 Chords and the Truth, Inside Out, I've Got the Blues, I Reckon…). In 2024 I've written a series of songs inspired by great books and articles I’ve been reading. Lest Winter Be Cruel has its roots in Cities of the Plain by Cormac McCarthy. The Road We Travel has roots in Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle. And, Temporary Tattoo grew out of an article in The Phoenix New Times.
