Margaret Peterson Haddix grew up on a farm in Ohio and worked as a newspaper reporter and copy editor in Indiana before her first book, "Running Out of Time," was published. She has since written more than fifty books for kids and teens, including a number of series: Greystone Secrets, Shadow Children, Missing, and Children of Exile....

Erin Entrada Kelly is the author of the Newbery Medal–winning novels "Hello, Universe" and "The First State of Being," which was also a finalist for the National Book Award. She received a Newbery Honor for "We Dream of Space....
