The hopes and risks of three teen girls as they take action in difficult situations challenge them to redefine their possibilities and identities. A young woman trapped in Nazi-occupied Poland, a stowaway in Gold Rush-era San Francisco and a Vietnamese refugee in Texas overcome tremendous obstacles through their bravery and selflessness.
