One current trend is retelling or remixing classics to challenge problematic aspects of the original book. Cherie Dimaline has remixed The Secret Garden and Peter Pan, while Hailey Alcaraz has retold Gone with the Wind. Cherie and Hailey will share their strategies for remixing classics and then invite participants to consider how they could "trouble" a favorite classic novel.
