Book publishing can be overwhelming and rigorous. To make matters more difficult, when authors publish their own books they’re suddenly taking on the responsibility of an entire publishing house. In this session, Christoper Locke of the Independent Book Publishers Assn. helps us navigate the process.

Christopher Locke is the Director of Membership and Member Services for the Independent Book Publishers Assn., which assists the 3,600 members as they travel along their publishing journeys. Major projects include managing the member benefits to curate the most advantageous services for independent publishers and author publishers; managing the Innovative Voices Program that supports publishers from marginalized communities; and hosting the IBPA podcast, “Inside Independent Publishing (with IBPA)....
