Esperanza - A

Esperanza En Escalante is a nonprofit organization that has served homeless veterans and their families in Tucson, Arizona for over 35 years. Operating on a 19-acre campus, we provide comprehensive housing programs, from emergency shelter through permanent supportive housing, along with integrated services including case management, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, and employment assistance.

Our mission is to provide transitional, permanent, and supportive housing for homeless veterans while delivering social rehabilitation services that nurture the transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Through evidence-based programs delivered with military cultural competence, we help veterans move from crisis to stability and ultimately to independent living.

Led by CEO Suzanne Bond and a team where many have lived experience with military service, homelessness, or recovery, Esperanza creates lasting change through a holistic approach that addresses not just housing but the underlying challenges that perpetuate veteran homelessness. We honor those who served our nation by providing the comprehensive support they need to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.
