Turns out the love for the Tucson Festival of Books is bigger than our beloved home in the desert. In fact, it's worldwide!
The Tucson Festival of Books has been named by the award-winning luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler as one of 9 best literary festivals in the world. Ranking alongside festivals like the International Literature Festival in Berlin and the Macondo Literary Festival and the Nairobi International Book Fair, TFOB 2024 made its mark on writer Abbie Kozolchyk this past March.
The entire festival team is elated to be considered among some of the best literary experiences for book lovers world wide. Offered free-of-charge, the festival exists to improve literacy rates among children and adults. Proceeds that remain after festival expenses have been paid are contributed to local literacy programs. More than $2.2 million has been raised for local literacy organizations including Reading Seed, Literacy Connects and University of Arizona Literacy Outreach Programs.
