Bill Carter is the screenwriter and executive producer of the documentary “Kiss the Future,” produced by Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Sarah Anthony, and based on Carter’s book "Fools Rush In." It has been nominated for a Writer's Guild Award for best documentary screenplay for 2024. 

He has authored three books: "Fools Rush In," "Red Summer," and "Boom, Bust, Boom," all journalistic memoirs. Carter is a professor of practice for film production at Northern Arizona University. In 2009 he was recognized with honorary citizenship to the City of Sarajevo.

Awards: My film Miss Sarajevo won the International Monitor Award and the Golden Hugo award and has been played in dozens of countries around the world. Currently Kiss the Future, which is based on my book Fool's Rush In is streaming on Paramount Plus. I am the screenwriter and an executive producer as well.
