As a professor of reading at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Janine Schall works with teachers and parents to encourage the use of diverse children's and young adult literature.

Courage in the Wild: Animals in Action
Animals live in a world made dangerous by humans and must take action to survive. Three authors tell powerful animal tales that range from leadership in a wolf pack in Yellowstone National Park to animals climate heroes and animals who need crossings built for them to have hope for survival.
