Patrick Andrus is a fourth-grade teacher in the Eden Prairie School District in Minneapolis. He is in his 33rd year of teaching. Andrus' main goal in his classroom is to share the love of reading and books.

The Best: Award-Winning Books for K-8 Readers
This session will highlight award-winning books of fiction, nonfiction and poetry for children in grades K-8. The books will be presented by the NCBLA committee who selected these books due to their appealing format, enduring quality, focus on language and invitation for child response. The committee will share the books and suggest instructional strategies. Books will be available for browsing and a book list provided and the books will be given away to attendees at the end of the session.
