Osha Lynette Smith


Osha Lynette Smith-Davis is a retired public middle-school teacher in Harrisburg, PA. She is currently a professor in the PhD Education Department at Walden University. In addition, she peer-reviews articles for the Journal of Educational Research and Practice. She also serves on Notable Children's Literature Award committees.

Award-Winning Books for K-8 Readers
This session will highlight award-winning books of fiction, nonfiction and poetry for children in grades K-8. The books will be presented by the NCBLA committee who selected these books due to their appealing format, enduring quality, focus on language and invitation for child response. The committee will share about the books and instructional strategies. The 2025 award list of books will be announced.
