Leslie Patten has worked as a horticulturist, habitat specialist and landscape designer. She did volunteer work at the Draper Lab in the Buffalo Bill Museum of the West in Cody, WY preparing bird and mammal specimens, completing a herbarium, and measuring wolf skulls for scientific research. Patten is the author of several books. Her most recent book "Ghostwalker: Tracking a Mountain Lion's Soul through Science and Story" details her time tracking mountain lions on foot and with trail cameras.
