Willy Vlautin
Dan Eccles Willy Vlautin is an author and musician who has written seven novels, the latest being "The Horse." Three of his books, "The Motel Life," "Lean on Pete" and "The Night Always Comes," have been adapted into movies, and his work has been translated into 15 languages.
In addition to winning three Oregon Books Awards, Vlautin has been inducted in the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. His songs and stories chronicle the lives of the outcasts, the working-class, and those often ignored by society.
