Laura Numeroff (she, her, hers)
Laura Numeroff is the New York Times bestselling author of "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" and the If You Give series. Her new picturebook is "Max and Mama." Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Laura grew up surrounded by art, music and books. She has published 48 books and visited many schools around the world, giving a portion of her book royalties to First Book. Laura now resides in Los Angeles with her dog, Eloise, and her cat, Henry.

Awards: In 2000, "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" was featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show three times, and was recommended by Oprah’s first kids’ book club, as well as being noted as Oprah’s favorite children’s book of the year on her Christmas show. “Pig” was also on Publishers Weekly Bestseller List for over a year.
