Amy Thielen


Amy Thielen is a two-time James Beard Award-winning writer and cookbook author. Her books include "The New Midwestern Table," the memoir "Give a Girl a Knife" and most recently, "Company: The Radically Casual Art of Cooking for Others." Previously, Thielen was the host of the James Beard-nominated TV show "Heartland Table" on Food Network and a contributing editor at Saveur. She lives in the woods in northern Minnesota with her husband, visual artist Aaron Spangler, their son, Hank and their adopted livestock guardian dog, Hilly.
