Judith V Rooney

Judy Valentine Rooney is a retired educator with over 52 years experience in the fields of English, education, international studies and art. She is married to her husband of 54 years and has two adult children. Her memoir recounts her catastropic illness in 2020 during the time of the Covid pandemic.  She experienced multiple and rapid system shut downs, blood clots in her lungs, time on a ventilator, sepsis, and near-death spiritual phenomena as she struggled to survive a seven-week hospitalization in two states. She credits her faith and the prayers of others with her return to wellness. In the interest of helping others through the crises she experienced, she will be donating a percentage of her book sales to a charity that helps people pay medical bills.
