Tucson Festival of Books Training - CT Walk-through #2

The Festival is coming up quickly and we're getting excited! While the full CT Orientation took place last weekend, we are having a second walk-through this weekend followed by a breakout where you can meet with a representative of the CT Committee to ask questions. The walk-through and breakout will help you feel prepared for the Festival weekend and give you an opportunity to meet and interact with Festival organizers and other volunteers.

If you are also volunteering in another area of the Festival, be sure to stay in contact with that area to coordinate training requirements for that area.

WHAT:

PART 1 > Festival Walk-Through focusing on Festival layout and activities
PART 1 > CT Breakout--important! A CT representative will be carrying a Children Teen Area sign and will let you know where to meet for the breakout. If volunteering in more than one area, we will work with you to help prioritize which breakout to attend.
Install the TFOB app (available free of charge at Google Playstore/Apple iStore) before you arrive. We will cover use of the app during the Walk-Through.

WHEN: SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 26th beginning at 8:30 am. Reserve approximately 1½ hours.

WHERE: Meet in the 'Canyon', a large walkway between the UA BookStore & Student Union Building (main level)--here is a map of campus.

PARKING: For this training, we suggest you park in a surface lot close to the Student Union or in the 2nd Street Parking Garage (shaded in gray). A couple of notes:
- 2nd Street Garage is convenient parking for the Walk-Through, but there may be a charge.
- 2nd Street Garage WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE for volunteers during the Festival.

WHY: Volunteers are the "face" of the festival. How a volunteer responds to attendee questions reflects on the Festival-at-large. For this reason, we kindly request that anyone wearing a volunteer t-shirt during the Festival be prepared to answer basic questions from festival goers.
